"And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common." Acts 4:32
We became part of the church of God after, by faith, we accepted Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior. On the Day of Pentecost, 5000 were saved. Afterward, 3000 more were saved. Yet, their lives continued to be spiritually enriched all the way through the book of Acts. They did more than simply believe; they put their faith into action. Faith in action means we take God literally and believe all His promises are true; we lean on His promises until the faith of Christ is holding us up.
Have you ever watched someone walk a tight rope with a wheel barrel? Do you believe they are talented enough to do that? Faith says – we will jump in the wheel barrel and let them roll us to the other side. So too, in the spiritual life, faith tells us that God will provide for all of our needs, that Christ’s way is better than our way, and that the Bible is the only living book full of all truth. Do you believe this? Then start absorbing, obeying, and learning how to walk with Christ by reading the Bible! Read his Word not just to read black and white text on a page; read it to seek His face ever more diligently. I can promise you, as you reading in order to search, study, and find God – He will be found and He will put a passion in your heart for Him that no man can extinguish! Don’t you want to live like this every day? You can; take a hold of Jesus by faith today!
