The suffering of Our Lord at Calvary is a picture of salvation; as we study the scene, we realize that when we accept Christ as our Savior - we receive a new power from God, a new access to God, and a new family of believers!

In the act of Jesus giving His earthly mother, Mary, to John so he could take care of her showed not only the love that Jesus had for His disciples and followers, but also the love that the household of faith should have for each other in their walk of discipleship.
