All of the emotions that come forth from the Savior on the cross are His heart's intent to save the world; and if studied carefully, all of them conform to the Father's will which is to love God and love others. "I thirst" is an expression of Jesus not only relating to our human experience of emptiness, but also as a way to show us that everyone, including Himself, must fulfill the Holy Scriptures.
